The shared flat (=WG) is one of the most popular forms of accommodation for students in Germany.

What is a WG? Easy to explain: Several people share a flat. Each person has their own room, kitchen, bathroom and possibly a living room are shared. Costs such as rent, electricity or internet are also shared.
